Action Plan Day 4- Driving targeted trafic to your blog

Hi Guys, sorry I took long to make a new post, I was busy with another project. Today I will be discussing various methods to drive traffic to your blog.
 Method 1-Article Marketing -Article marketing is an inexpensive way to promote your business. Once your article is written, it travels from your desktop to many article directories which provides backlinks to your site, which can help with search engine optimization

Writing Your Article Step 1 : The Headline -Every article will start with an attention statement as a headline.Make your headline simple and specific.
Step 2-Content- It should flow decently from the headline all the way through to the end of the article.The opening paragraph should explain what the article is about to the reader.You have to outline what they are going to learn from the article.Your opening should be kept simple. (100 words)
Resource Box- This is what you will add at the end of the article, this is the information about the authorand usually contains a link to the author's website. Your resource box must stay intact.It must offer something that is related to the article.

Action Plan Day 3-Setting Up a blog

Now that you have a niche and a product to target that niche, it is time to set up your mini-site or blog to promote your product. Do the following :

• Open an account at http://www.blogger.com/ and follow the instructions
• Give your blog a name -the name must be related to the niche you have chosen
• Place keywords on the blog title
• Write an article of about 400-600 words and post it to your blog.

(Do not worry much about aticle writing at these stage, I will discuss the the proper ways to do article marketing or bum marketing, the strategies later on) Now that you have a functioning blog, you need to place affiliate links to your blog, to earn money.
How To Insert an Affiliate Marketing banner into a blogger blog

The best place to put your affiliate banner is on the header of your blog.
Do the following :

• Login to blogger.com and Navigate to Layout > Edit HTML page of your blog.
• On the Edit HTML page you will see the option to back up your template by downloading it to your system. I strongly advise that you take this opportunity to backup as you are about to make a change to your template where if something goes wrong you may not be able to restore it.
• Once you have backed up your template place a check in the Expand Widget Templates box Search your template and locate the following lines of code within the header section of the template:        (note you can search by using CTRL + F and entering into the search box <b:includable id='main'>

• Now insert the following 2 lines of code directly below id="main">and before

 <b:includable id='main'> and before <b:if cond='data:useImage'>

•  Place your merchant affiliate code between the lines of code you just inserted. You will need to copy the code from the affiliate program provider to your template.

• Click on View Blog to view your new banner.

I recommend that you promote digital products such as information and software. Digital products are available for instant download. The best place to start you search is in the clickbank marketplace.
Here is what to look for in a good affiliate program

• High Commission (50%-75%)
• Quality product that you would want to buy
• High converting sales letter
• Proven marketing tool (email ads, classified ads, banners e.t.c)

Log in to http://www.clickbank.com/ and do the following :

• Choose one of the main categories from the dropdown menu on the left
• Select a subcategory from the dropdown on the right
• Show 20 results per page and sort by popularity
• Choose one of the subcategories as your target market
• Look for product in the $27-$97 range that pays 50%-75% commission

2 .Passionate (or rabid buyers)-they are people who buy everything on a
    particular topic,example:home and garden, food and cooking, golf.

This is what you must do to find those buyers

• Read several newspapers everyday, watch the news, listen to radio
• Check out the hottest trends at  :Google hot trends
• The Lycos Top 50 is another site, like google's hot trends where you will review the latest trends and lok for hot topics to explore further.
• Look at Yahoo Buzz for ideas as well
• Visit :different kind of magazines on your chosen niche
• The eBay Pulses site is a great place to start looking for subniches-What you must do is to select the category first (using the topics you've gathered from the previous sites) then look for profitable niches byselecting a sub-category.
